A Distributing Cooperative is a very unique type of organisation in the way it has both members and shareholders. You can read more about COA as a cooperative in the About Us page.
If you want to access and use the land owned by COA, you must be a shareholder. To become a shareholder you must own the minimum Member Shares in COA. You cannot be a shareholder without first becoming a Shareholder Member of COA. Refer the COA By-laws for membership provisions. If you only want to access the insurance services offered by COA, the By-laws allow you to subscribe to the relevant COA Insurance Division. COA has just one class of membership called Shareholder Membership, which entitles access to the services provided by the COA Property Division.
COA Property Division
As described in the rules, 'the primary activity of COA, is the acquisition of land for Camping and Outdoor activities, permanent and temporary Accommodation', which you can read more about in the Property Division page.

As a community organisation, COA also provides other services related to COA's activities, which you can read more about in the Insurance Division page.
